The little black book
 for women in brand

Together, we’ll turn the once restrictive, male-dominated arena of brand education into a supportive, fluid and open community.

Hi, we’re Women in Brand.

We started Women in Brand guided by one goal:
end the boy’s club.

We’re hungry for growth, and hungry for change. Even though we all come from different brand backgrounds, we passionately believe that our industry as a whole needs better leaders, teachers, and arenas built for and by women.

Our commitment to our pack runs deep. We know the work you do shifts the dial, and we know how hard it is to get the recognition and feedback you deserve from it. Whether that’s through creative or strategic work, we’re forever in awe of how the women in our community show up and show out in their professional lives.

We also know that finding your way through a career in brand is messy AF. It has you up late at night, scrolling through Cannes Lions speaker lists, wondering if you’re ever going to get your chance to do ‘big work’.

our partners

One size fits all brand education isn’t our bag.

For too long we’ve been sold an ideal career path, shiny (paid for) awards and accolades, and a certain portfolio or set of skills, based on the ‘adland’ of years gone by. We aren’t interested in climbing that slippery slope.

Instead, we focus on material action – learning together, sharing opportunities with one another, and getting more women platformed and paid. Other ‘networks’ might do it differently. But we know this isn’t just about trading business cards and climbing ladders — it’s about a fundamental shift we want to see in our sector.

We’re not here to beg for a seat. We’re building our own table.

Our story

After struggling to find one affordable, women-led source for brand education, we’d had enough. Our most formative learning wasn’t happening at corporate conferences – it was happening in conversations. It was the answer we’d been searching for.

Working in mostly isolated teams in corporate, we went from fighting for budget, development, and opportunity, to creatively inspiring conversations, facilitated introductions, and ‘how can I help?’ as a default.

Our brand careers were no longer decided by expensive tickets and IYKYK invitations, or trying to fight to ask the question that had been on our minds in a crowded room. This space was welcoming, energizing, and filled with intelligent women who knew our industry back to front, ready to share their knowledge and passion with us. We knew from our first get-together that we had hit upon something magic.

Now, with Women in Brand, we get to live within and celebrate that community all the time. Women in Brand has changed the game for female brand builders and storytellers around the world, building them a platform without the corporate hang-ups, or strings attached.

The women
behind the brand

Victoria Montgomery

Victoria’s career has been shaped by a deep love of marketing and brand. After beginning in English language teaching and moving into product marketing within publishing, she discovered her passion for brand—an instinct that led her to award-winning work across global campaigns, brand management and communications, including the rebrand of an iconic heritage publisher.

She’s driven by creating cohesive, memorable brand experiences and thrives in collaboration with creatives who want to push boundaries. Inspired by the women who’ve guided her journey, Victoria is committed to fostering meaningful connections, sparking ideas and championing the next generation of brand talent.

Tamira Hamden

With over a decade in content and brand strategy, Tamira has shaped narratives for global publishers, start-ups and everything in between. Her career began in international magazine publishing before moving into strategic consultancy, where she helped emerging brands express their purpose with clarity and creativity.

Most recently, she led Brand at one of the world’s oldest university presses—spearheading a full rebrand of the 500-year-old institution and building its first dedicated brand team spanning social, brand marketing and design. She’s energised by championing thoughtful branding and the brilliant women who bring it to life.
